Understanding the House of Shaves Level System
At House of Shaves Barbershop, we believe that when our team grows, your experience gets even better. We want to reward our barbers for their hard work, consistency, and the loyalty they build with you. That is why we operate on a transparent, performance-based level system.
Instead of arbitrary annual price hikes, our team members earn their promotions based on the experience they provide. Here is a look at how our barbers level up and what it means for your next haircut.
The Barber Tiers & Pricing
As our barbers build their skills and their books, they progress from Level I all the way up to Level VII. We group these levels into four main titles:
Barber (Levels I & II): Exceptionally talented professionals building their client base.
Pricing: Base Price
Senior Barber (Levels III & IV): Established professionals with high demand and proven consistency.
Pricing: Base Price + $5
Elite Barber (Levels V & VI): Top-tier professionals who have mastered their craft and have very limited availability.
Pricing: Base Price + $10
Master Barber (Level VII): The pinnacle of our shop; our highest-demand industry veterans.
Pricing: Base Price + $15
A Note for Our Valued Members: Your membership is still your absolute best value! It completely covers the base price of your service. If you choose to book your appointment with a Senior, Elite, or Master Barber, your membership will continue to cover the base price, and you will simply be responsible for the associated level upgrade fee ($5, $10, or $15) at the time of your visit. Please note: this upgrade fee applies per appointment, not per service. If you are booked for both a haircut and a beard trim during the same visit, you only pay the upgrade fee once.
How Can I See What Level a Barber Is Before Booking?
We want to ensure complete transparency before you ever sit in the chair. You can easily find a barber's current level and title listed directly in their bio on our online booking page, as well as on the Team page of our website. You will also notice the updated price difference for that barber when selecting them for your service, if a level upcharge applies.
How Do Barbers Level Up?
Leveling up at House of Shaves isn't based simply on how long someone has worked here—it is earned. Barbers secure their promotions by demonstrating consistently high performance and building incredible demand for their services.
When a barber’s schedule becomes highly requested and their clients keep coming back time and time again, they move up our tier system. It’s our way of ensuring that a new title truly means something. Simply put: when you find a barber you love and keep returning to their chair, you are directly helping them advance in their career!
What This Means For You
When you sit in a Senior, Elite, or Master Barber's chair, the price reflects a proven track record. You are paying for a professional who is in high demand and consistently delivers an experience that keeps clients coming back.
Thank you for trusting House of Shaves and for supporting our barbers as they continue to master their craft!
